Real Zaragoza coach Marcelino is confident his job is safe.

Despite claims this week he was on brink of the sack, Marcelino has dismissed such reports.

"I am not condemned because I have the confidence of the club. If I was to leave here, it would be because the staff and the fans did not want me. But no-one has said that. There is no chanting in the stands," said a defiant Marcelino.

"I'll never throw in the towel, that's for cowards."
