Diego Maradona has told Barcelona captain Leo Messi to shelve his international career.

Maradona is angry with the way Messi continues to be blamed for Argentina's problems and believes the best thing for him is to take a break.

"I would tell him not to come anymore, to leave," said the World Cup winner.

"He is always to blame for everything, to let me break the b***s, this old man, I tell him, do not go back anymore.

"Don't be crazy."
