Diego Maradona says there's fresh contact with Napoli.

Maradona is in Naples and met with Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis on Saturday night.

“It was the first step towards coming back to Napoli. We discussed some of the issues I have in Italy and then I'd love to work for Napoli in the world," he said.

“There are Neapolitans all over the world in Venezuela, Colombia, always two or three Neapolitans who call out to me wherever I go.

“I want to do things properly, I want to see the winning team that can face off on a par with Juve, Inter, Milan and Roma. De Laurentiis realised that, as the President didn't know much about football a few years ago, but now he's an expert."
