Diego Maradona hopes to make Napoli's game with AS Roma on Friday.
Roma will host Napoli in the capital.
"Destiny has him in Rome on the same day as Roma-Napoli," lawyer Angelo Pisani told Radio Crc.
"Diego will be only a few metres away from the Stadio Olimpico, so who knows, Napoli could well have an extra fan in the stands.
"It would be Maradona's first time in a stadium cheering on Napoli. We really hope that he'll be able to make it. Diego will arrive in Italy on Thursday night and, if we can, we'll go to the Olimpico."
