Argentina coach Diego Maradona has likened Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain to his former teammates Hernan Crespo and Gabriel Batistuta.

Higuain is currently joint top scorer at the World Cup.

"Higuain has qualities of both Bati and Crespo, he's set," Maradona said.

"He has a spectacular future and is living his best moments, I called him at the right time."
