Diego Maradona has urged Italy coach Roberto Donadoni to include Juventus captain Alessandro del Piero in his Euro2008 squad.

"I have always admired Del Piero," said Maradona. "If I was coach, he would always be in my team.

"Italy must go to the Euros to win."

Maradona was also asked about AC Milan striker Ronaldo and Sampdoria's Antonio Cassano.

"They are incredible players, what they do in their private lives is up to them, no one can truly judge someone's private life."
