Argentina boss Diego Maradona dedicated their World Cup victory over Mexico to Italian Moto GP star Valentino Rossi.

The Albiceleste booked their place in the World Cup quarter-finals where they will now meet England's conquerors Germany.

When asked for a dedication, Maradona said: "It's for my friend, Valentino Rossi who is sick."

Rossi broke his leg at the Italian Moto GP earlier this month and is currently recovering.
