AS Roma defender Kostas Manolas is keen on a move to Chelsea - but doesn't want the split to be bitter.
Corriere dello Sport says the player is hesitant to take advantage of his £32million release clause.
Should Maurizio Sarri replace Antonio Conte as boss at Stamford Bridge this summer, he will target Manolas to bolster Chelsea's defence next term.
Manolas has spoken with Roma director Monchi in the last few days to ensure him he has no immediate desire to leave and is happy at the Serie A club.
He would earn £1.3m more per season — around £4m in total — should he move to west London, however he is not motivated by wages, given he turned down a big-money move to Zenit.
But if the right offer is made Manolas will be willing to leave for Chelsea this summer.
