Maniche keen to secure new Atletico Madrid deal
Maniche remains hopeful of securing a new contract with Atletico Madrid.
The Portugal midfielder said: "My intention is to continue here because I'm very happy. The people are happy with me and we are holding talks. We'll see how everything ends. Miguel Angel Gil has not yet spoken with me and we have not agreed on a contract.
"We have never spoken about money. I'm very comfortable here and I do not want change either team or city. My family and I have achieved stability. We'll try to reach an early agreement."
