Eliaquim Mangala has made Manchester City's Premier League squad list.

The Manchester Evening News says after spending the second half of last season out on loan, Mangala is way down the pecking order in defence with John Stones , Nicolas Otamendi , Aymeric Laporte and Vincent Kompany all ahead of him.

In fact, the defender only made two appearances for Everton before suffering a knee injury.

But now manager Pep Guardiola clearly feels Mangala is a worthy back-up option, as he displayed last season when John Stones picked up an injury mid-way through the season.
