Manenti addresses Parma fans after takeover

New Parma president Giampietro Manenti has addressed fans after his takeover.

Manenti bought the club last week.

"Today was a rough day, but we reached a result," he is quoted by Parmalive.com.

"We're not used to all these meetings, but we're pleased with the result and we'll get to work from tomorrow.

"We've got to take care of the immediate needs, for the industrial and technical plan there will be time.

"On Wednesday we'll be concentrated on the new roles to assign [within the board of directors] and on what we're going to do to honour our commitments on the short term.

"Then we'll lay out our ideas calmly.

"The general director was [Pietro] Leonardi until yesterday, we'll have to speak with him and decide about that.

"The other roles are delegated to [Fiorenzo] Alborghetti, he's choosing everything. Tomorrow we're going to start on the economic deadlines.

"The atmosphere here is serene, good, people seem regenerated.

"They're awaiting facts, and unfortunately we need to deliver them, or we'll have thrown our money away."
