Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is confident that new signings Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum will push the Reds to the next level this coming season.

The Reds have been one of the biggest spenders in Premier League this summer and have already splashed around £70million on new signings, including £59m on Mane and Wijnaldum.

"I think it is about improving it. It is important I continue to focus on myself and with my team-mates and new players I think it is possible to improve it," Sturridge told LFC TV when asked about the Reds' summer business.

"It is possible to have a great season. Everyone has to step up and do their own job. If everyone does their job we will be successful.

"I am looking forward to the season and I think the signings we have made will help us push on to the next level.

"We are looking to be successful and win trophies, that is something I have not tasted yet with Liverpool."
