Mane: Liverpool inspired by Oxlade-Chamberlain comeback

Sadio Mane has credited Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with helping Liverpool without kicking a ball this season.

The England midfielder is still undergoing rehabilitation after the knee injury he suffered against Roma last season.

But Reds attacker Mane believes that Oxlade-Chamberlain's dedication to get back is an inspiration to the whole team.

"I have been injured and I know how hard it is," Mane told Liverpoolfc.com

"I try to talk to him and check how he is because it's not easy, especially for Alex. His dream is to stay fit and play for the club, win games and win trophies as well. If it's not the case, it's difficult.

"Sometimes on the pitch you want to give everything to make (the injured players) proud because it's not easy for them and their family.

"Injuries are something I never wish on any football player."
