Hellas Verona coach Andrea Mandorlini hailed veteran striker Luca Toni after victory over Sassuolo.
Toni, 37, hit a double in the 3-2 win.
"I had never played for over 70 minutes when down to 10 men, so it was a performance that required a lot of sacrifice," Coach Mandorlini told Rai Sport.
"Toni finishes off the good work from the rest of the team and everyone pulled out all that they had to get this result.
"I jokingly say not to call Toni in for the doping tests, as he must be on something! Luca has the whole team working to create the chances that only he knows how to finish.
"He deserves everything and 37 goals in two years say it all."
