Former Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric says Peter Storrie and Sacha Gaydamak were right to show Tony Adams the door.
Mandaric told The News: "Sacha and Peter have to do as much as they can to sort this situation.
"There is a lot of ugliness in football and even though it is sad, the need to make a change was imminent. You can see the team have not been getting the results, and that is the key issue.
"The number-one priority for the owner is to keep the club in the Premier League. So I feel he had to make the change. Now the need is to bring in a good, experienced figure as soon as possible.
"Whoever comes in, it needs to be done quickly. The decision has to be made in the short term."
