Leicester City chairman Milan Mandaric is delighted to see former club Portsmouth on the brink of new ownership.

Mandaric said: "I'm delighted for the supporters that the team stayed up in the Premier League.

"And I'm pleased the club is now going to get financial support. When I was at the club we steadied the situation for the fans and the football community.

"We put a solid base in place for Sacha Gaydamak to build from.

"We put the foundations there and now the progress can continue. I'm delighted for the wonderful Portsmouth supporters."
