Mandaric blasts Leicester boo-boys

Milan Mandaric has accused a section of Leicester supporters of 'poisoning the club'.

The Foxes chairman has been angered by fans who chanted the name of sacked former manager Martin Allen during the Carling Cup second round tie with Nottingham Forest last week.

Mandaric believes it is an insult to himself and new boss Gary Megson and has offered those supporters the opportunity to attend a face-to-face meeting at the Walkers Stadium.

"It is not up to me to tell the fans what to sing," Mandaric told Leicester's official website.

"But do these people think, in all seriousness, that Martin Allen is a more important issue than the club they have supported for years?

"I do not understand why they sang it and I am finding it hard to forget. Maybe now we need one of those `clear the air' family chats. So that is what I propose.

"If you are one of those fans who would rather sing for Martin Allen than Leicester City, come and see me.

"Please, come down to the Walkers Stadium at 7pm on Thursday and tell me why you sang it. I will meet you face-to- face and I will listen to what you have to say. Then I will tell you why I think you were wrong."
