Former Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini is not in the running to take over the vacant position at Chelsea says his agent.

Speculation linking Mancini with the job at Stamford Bridge has been cooled by agent Giorgio De Giorgis.

"No-one has contacted us, hence, I exclude the possibility that Mancini will go to Chelsea," he said.

"We are aware of Scolari's sacking but they would have contacted us in the case they had though about him (Mancini).

"Instead, they have contacted others."
