Mancini relaxed as Tevez returns to family in Argentina

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has denied suggestions that star striker Carlos Tevez is unhappy at the club. Tevez will miss Saturday's trip to Wolves after being given permission to return to Argentina to visit his family as he recovers from a thigh problem he picked up in last weekend's defeat to Arsenal.

Mancini has confirmed Tevez will return to the club next Monday and he is not worried about talk that the former Manchester United could quit Eastlands because of homesickness.

"I think it is normal when you are in another country for a long time [to be homesick]," said Mancini. "Sometimes probably you can need your country, you need your family, this is normal.

"But he has his job here and it is a fantastic job. I don't think we have a problem."

Asked if he was worried Tevez might not see out the whole of his contract at City, Mancini replied: "No, not at all."

Mancini also reiterated his desire for Argentina to give the striker some time off to recharge his batteries.

He added: "I think maybe some time when they [Argentina] have a friendly match it is better for him to stay here to recover if it is possible.

"It would be better for us and better for him, but when they have important games with the national team I think it is difficult."
