Roberto Mancini will be surprised if Massimo Moratti chooses to remain as Inter Milan president with the club now sold. Moratti sold 70 per cent of the club to Indonesian billionaire Erick Thohir yesterday for €250 million.
Galatasaray coach Mancini, who worked for Moratti as Inter coach, told Gazzetta dello Sport: "The president wanted me as a footballer, then took me as a coach. I remember when he came to my house and we watched the games on TV together on the couch.
After the sacking, there was a period of silence, then we started to talk again."
The former Manchester City manager added: "Inter has been his life since he was a kid, it is hard to stay in a house with limited powers when you were the only master. Fans can be rest assured that if Moratti has chosen Thohir, it means that for Inter there did not exist a better option."
