Roberto Mancini has made a cheeky attack on former club Inter Milan and coach Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho had said he "called for a meeting rather than offer my resignation" after a Champions League exit in the second round.
"Who knows, maybe it was a meeting worth 100m Euros," smiled Mancini, referring to the reported shopping list Mourinho has requested for reinforcements next season.
Mancio also replied to Mourinho's claims that there was no office for the head coach at Inter before he arrived.
"My collaborators and I preferred to be on the field, not in an office. You teach the players, even the great ones, on the training ground and not behind a desk.
"In any case, we did have an office. Now there is a new law allowing them to build 30 per cent more, so imagine what a lovely big office they've got now."
The biggest sideswipe of the night was aimed at Inter President Massimo Moratti when asked about the use of so many overseas stars.
"It's true, I was the first Coach to field an Italian club side with only foreign players. I was Italian though, so I didn't fit into the Internazionale set-up
"I was at Inter for four years and the time had come to change a few things. Either we made changes or it was best we parted ways. President Moratti chose the latter option."
