Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini admits they tried to sign Manchester City defender Micah Richards in January.

Richards is currently on-loan with Fiorentina.

"We did try to get him, as he was my player at City. Fiorentina seemed open to it, but the move didn't go through," said Mancini.

Mancini worked with Richards at City.
