Mancini: Inter Milan sacking left me in shock

Roberto Mancini says he's gradually getting over his "shock" dismissal by Inter Milan.

Roberto Mancini says he's gradually getting over his "shock" dismissal by Inter Milan.

“At the start it was a shock,” he confessed to Max magazine. “Perhaps because of the tension I had accumulated, or the anger and disappointment of the firing, I just could not accept the idea of suddenly being out of my world after a lifetime in football.

“Then, a little bit at a time, I got over it. I can see that every now and then it is healthy to relax and every day that goes by I feel better.”

His view of replacement Jose Mourinho is that the hard work has already been done and success is inevitable.

“I won’t talk about Inter, I will only say one word: Scudetto. This was already the strongest team for the last two years, so they will certainly win again this season.”
