Roberto Mancini believes Manchester City are making a mistake dropping their pursuit of Napoli striker Edinson Cavani.

The former City manager admits he wanted Cavani at any cost.

"He is a top player. He is at the height of his maturity, an extra-ordinary player who attacks, defends and scores goals - I would have done anything to get him."
