Roberto Mancini says he told Adriano to quit Inter Milan while he was coach.

"I always tried to help Adriano," Mancini said on Rai Tre.

"I just made an effort to give him a hand. I advised him to leave Inter because I thought that would be best for him.

"Now the real Adriano has to come out and we need experts to achieve that. He is a good lad and I hope that he gets through this."
