Mancini happy for Jo after netting in Man City's draw with Juventus

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini was happy for Jo after he netted just his third goal of the season in Thursday night's 1-1 Europa League draw with Juventus.

The Brazilian striker has made just seven starts in all competitions so far this term but as able to score a vital equaliser for City in the 75th minute of their final group stage fixture in Europe's second tier.

Mancini said it was great to see the 23-year old make an impact and was very pleased for him.

"I have known Jo for five years," said the City boss.

"He played against Inter in the Champions League and scored two goals. He was young, but he was a good player, and he is still a good player.

"He played the last two games for us and did not score. But he has done very well, so I am pleased he has scored tonight."
