Galatasaray coach Roberto Mancini denies he took the job for money.
The former Inter Milan and Manchester City manager was appointed Gala coach last week.
"People in Italy always think I only went to Istanbul for the money," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Aside from the fact contracts are part of our profession, I accepted the proposal because Galatasaray are a prestigious club taking part in the Champions League with a strong history.
"I am also fascinated by the idea of a new experience in a country that is a bridge between Europe and Asia. Turkey is a nation with a fast-developing economy and a history going back millennia."
