Manchester City snapped a three-match losing streak with a 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion, delighting manager Roberto Mancini.

City scored twice in the first half through Mario Balorelli, who was later sent off, and the win allowed them to remain fourth and stay in touch with league leaders Chelsea who lost at Liverpool.

"We played a fantastic game - we played football very well, all the team," Mancini said.

"We scored two goals and we could have scored another two. For us, Carlos is very important up front. I am very happy with the result."
