Mancini delighted as Man City make last 16 of Europa League

Manchester City showed some clinical finishing as they defeated holders Porto in the Europa League second leg 4-0 on the night and 6-1 on aggregate, and boss Roberto Mancini pledged he would always play his strongest team as he wants to go all the way in the competition. "We played a good team in Porto and it wasn't easy and 4-0 is perhaps too much but it was important we progressed to the second stage," the Italian told ESPN.

"The early goal was important but after Porto played well and kept possession and it wasn't easy playing against them.

"If it is possible we want to be in the final and for that reason we will always play the best team but we have twenty good players so changes can be made."
