The agent of sacked Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini has urged Chelsea to make him an offer.

Giorgio de Giorgis insisted it is up to Chelsea now to approach Mancini to try and get him as their new boss in place of axed Avram Grant.

De Giorgis said: "He had a meeting with president Moratti and they decided not to continue with him.

"As of now there is no contact with Chelsea. Roberto Mancini is not a person or coach who likes to propose himself to a club.

"Chelsea are one of the top five clubs in the world. There are chances he might go there but, at the moment, there has been no official contact with Chelsea."
