Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini insists their season can still be regarded as a successful.
Mancini still believes, despite the failure in the Premier and Champions Leagues, a runners-up spot and winning the FA Cup will be a successful season.
He said: "For two years we worked well, we had our targets and got our targets. We wanted to get to the Champions League and won the FA Cup. Last year we wanted to fight for the title and we won it.
"This year we didn't work well but this hasn't been a bad season and if we win the FA Cup it's a good one."
