Manchester United swoop for Tottenham left-back Danny Rose

Manchester United are confident they can lure Doncaster-born Tottenham defender Danny Rose to Old Trafford, according to the Mirror.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has begun to put in place plans to replace Rose, who is reportedly keen on a move north.

At United, Luke Shaw has failed to impress Jose Mourinho this season, both with his effort and form, and the Portuguese has made finding a left back his number one priority this summer.

26-year old Rose recently admitted Tottenham may find it hard to keep their players as "they might fancy a change" after another trophy-less season.
