Manchester United are expected to deal in the Barnes twins after trials.
The Manchester Evening News says Stockport County youngsters Sam and Louis Barnes could be set for a move to Premier League giants Manchester United.
The twin brothers, 18, are currently on trial at Old Trafford and were both named in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's starting XI for United reserves' 2-0 win over Altrincham last week.
Centre-half Sam was linked with a move to United, as well Premier League rivals Bolton Wanderers, last season after impressing Solskjaer during a reserve game.
Stockport County refused to comment on whether Sam or Louis Barnes are still under contract at the club or whether they expect to receive compensation if a deal is agreed.
Under Premier League rules, United should be liable for compensation, whether the pair are under contract or not, because they are currently under 24-years-old.
