Both managers agreed Portsmouth goalkeeper David James was the difference after their 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough.

Pompey boss Paul Hart said: "I don't think David James will thank me for singling him out but he is a magnificent goalkeeper and he has been absolutely fantastic for the four games I have been in charge."

Boro manager Gareth Southgate added: "He was simply outstanding for Portsmouth."
