Manchester United winger Ashley Young sat out England training yesterday.

Young was the main absentee from England's late afternoon training session at Arsenal's London Colney training complex on Tuesday.

Young scored the winner in Saturday's 1-0 friendly victory over Norway in Oslo but also picked up a knock which consigned him to the gym for a solo session.

The only other absentee was third-choice keeper Jack Butland, who has still not returned from his holiday in Mexico.
