Nemanja Vidic insists no-one inside the Manchester United dressing room mentions former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. He rapped: "Nobody talks about him any more.
"We all know as players Ronaldo didn't join the best club in the world, we all know he left the best club in the world."
Much of the reason for that is the impressive form of Wayne Rooney.
Vidic maintains the England striker is "the best player in the Premier League and on current form perhaps the best in the world."
And Vidic reckons Rooney will stay at Old Trafford for life.
He added: "He loves United and the club loves him. The relationship he has with the fans is like a marriage and he won't break that. You have a few players in the world with Wayne's ability, but players with that ability don't usually have that work-rate.
"One second he's scoring a wonder goal, the next he's back defending in his own half. He is a real team player and never gives less than everything.
"He has stepped up, that's why you don't hear Ronaldo's name mentioned any more.
"I'm sure he will be at United for life - no amount of money could prise him away."
