Robin van Persie is delighted to be playing alongside fellow Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney again. Van Persie scored 30 last season and it appeared at times he could do it all on his own, but Rooney has come to the party in the past weeks after recovering from a head wound.
Van Persie says: "I'm very pleased with the partnership. We love to play together, you know. We're similar in the way that we're both all-round players, we can both go in behind or drop off. We have a pass, which I love.
"For me, Wayne has it all. As long as we work together and try to improve - which we are doing - I think we can go from strength to strength.
"I think everyone can see we want to play together. I really think if we can keep on growing, keep on passing each other the ball, we can both end up with a lot of goals this year."
