Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has shrugged off Chelsea's appointment of Luiz Felipe Scolari as new manager.

The Dutchman said: "We knew Chelsea were in search of a coach, Scolari two years ago had the chance to take the England job. Clearly, the pressure is very high in England.

"I'm sure the Portuguese at Chelsea had a say in his decision."

Asked about Scolari's chances of success with Chelsea, Van der Sar shrugged: "I only have to worry about Manchester United."
