Man Utd's Simpson: Allardyce has lifted Blackburn

Manchester United fullback Danny Simpson is enjoying his football under new Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce.

Simpson, on-loan at Rovers until June, said: "The new manager comes in with his staff and his people and it is a fresh start for everyone. It is like having your debut again for everyone.

"It does not matter who has played before, he comes in with his own ideas and wants to win games. The whole squad has taken that on board and it looks to be paying off.

"Competition is healthy. Whoever is playing at the weekend, the main thing is getting out of the bottom three and keeping out of it.

"The manager will pick the right time for the game.

"He has brought in his own ideas. He has an aura about him, everyone listens to him and respects him and things are clicking on the pitch."
