Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney has questioned Arsenal's ability to mount a consistent title challenge this season.

He said: "Liverpool had a good season last year, Chelsea will always challenge.

"With Arsenal you never know, they are unbelievable at times and then at other times they are not quite there.

"I'm sure the same four teams will be the main four again but Manchester City have made a lot of signings so we will have to wait and see what happens there.

"For us, if we needed more players I'm sure the manager would have got them but I don't think we needed too many changes.

"We've won the league the last three years and got to the Champions League final again last season so I don't think we needed five or six players."
