Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney says England's defeat in Ukraine was not down to the flares that rained down from the stands on Saturday.
He said: "What happened with the flares did not break our concentration at all.
"It is a similar situation to when someone has gone down injured for a few minutes and play has to be stopped. You just get on with things."
Aston Villa midfielder James Milner said: "It seems to happen when you come to these places and you've just got to get on with it.
"It is part and parcel of it. Did it affect the performance? I don't think so.
"The squad is full of top-class players who have experienced atmospheres a lot like this before. It made no difference to anyone. Maybe it was dangerous to the keepers but I'm sure they've seen it all before."
