Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has sympathy for teammate Carlos Tevez over the lack of action he's seen this season.

"I feel sorry for Carlos," said Rooney.

"He is a world-class player and I really enjoy playing with him.

"Unfortunately, he has not started the last few games. But he is a top player and I am sure when he gets his chance, he will take it."
