Manchester United captain Gary Neville admits he faces a battle to win a first team place ahead of Wes Brown.

Neville admitted: "Last season Wes was probably in our top two or three most consistent players.

"He deserved all the success he got including an England place.

"I've got a number of challenges ahead of me and the ultimate one is to try to get back into that team in front of Wes. That's going to be hard."
