Nani is in line to make a dramatic Manchester United return for their Champions League clash with Marseille.
The Sun says the 24-year-old Portuguese winger trained on Friday and again yesterday with the club's physios.
Boss Alex Ferguson feared he would lose Nani for three games after a horror challenge by Jamie Carragher nine days ago left him with a gashed leg.
But Nani can run now freely and, today, he will be tested in a more competitive environment with the rest of the players as doctors want to be sure there is no risk of stitches bursting in match action.
Ferguson is desperate to have Nani fit for the return against the French champions.
His 10 goals and 15 assists so far this season have made him the club's star performer.
