Man Utd's Keane nets hat-trick in derby victory

Manchester United attacking midfielder William Keane struck a hat-trick in their 3-0 derby victory over U18 Manchester City yesterday.

It was only the third time in nine attempts that United had avoided defeat against City at under 18 level.

Although there was a big improvement after the interval at United’s Carrington HQ, City were unable to make any inroads in what was a second defeat on the bounce.

Keane's goals all came in the first-half, with French midfielder Paul Pogba also prominent in the performance.
