Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves will consult a specialist this week over his knee tendonitis problem.

The Manchester Evening News says despite a Sunday newspaper report claiming that Hargreaves was to undergo surgery, he has not yet been told he will definitely need an op.

The club says the 27-year-old has a date with the specialist and nothing has been decided so far.
