Manchester United ace Ryan Giggs was delighted for Wales in their 5-2 thrashing of Slovakia this week, but insists he has no regrets over his international retirement.
The Cardiff-born star said: "I watched the Slovakia game on Wednesday and it was absolutely brilliant. Craig Bellamy was on fire up front.
"It was a great result and a bit of revenge for Slovakia beating us 5-1 in Cardiff earlier in the Euro 2008 qualifying campaign."
Giggs admitted it was odd training at Carrington while most of United's squad were away on international duty.
He said: "It was strange for me this week because this is the first double-header I have missed since I retired.
"If I had still been playing, I'd have come back to Slovakia on Wednesday night and landed in Cardiff in the early hours of Thursday morning.
"Instead, I have had 10 days' training and I do feel fresher - which was the plan."
