Man Utd's Giggs: Ronaldo capable of anything

Ryan Giggs has paid tribute to Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo after he reached the 40-goal mark in Saturday's victory over West Ham.

"To be that consistent throughout the season and score that many goals is unbelievable really," he said. "Nothing surprises you about him anymore. He just keeps getting better and better."

Giggs stands to break the club's all-time appearance record this season.

The veteran's own place in Old Trafford folklore has long since been assured and, like Sir Bobby Charlton does now, it is easy to imagine him sitting in the directors' box one day hailing the modern generation.

"I don't know whether anyone will overhaul the record," he said. "When Sir Bobby did it, he probably thought it wouldn't be broken.

"It could be done. When I don't know. I am more bothered about winning the Premier League next week."
