Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has cooled reports he is set to bring England keeper Ben Foster on loan to White Hart Lane. A lack of opportunities at club level has seen the 26 year old voice his frustration and the former Stoke keeper may seek a loan move in January, but Redknapp does not feel a move to North London would be his best option.
"If United wanted to loan him, and I don't know if they do, it would be a problem for him to go somewhere and not play. He wants to play for England," said the Spurs boss.
"(Heurelho) Gomes is my first-team goalkeeper and has been fantastic so there is no point in coming here as a number two."
