Man Utd's Fergie raps Grant over Curbs claims

Grant was severely critical of the West Ham boss, who also happens to be a close personal friend of Sir Alex, for admitting that he wants Manchester United to win the Premier League.

This ahead of West Ham's trip to Old Trafford this weekend, the result of which will invariably have an influence on the outcome of the title race.

"I don't know why he has suggested that there might be something untoward," said the United boss. "He should know better."

Speaking on Friday, Ferguson insisted that they will be looking to take the game to a West Ham side that has somehow managed to get the better of them in the last three league meetings.

"We have got a better goal difference (than Chelsea) and if we both win our last two games then I'll be very happy," he said. "We have got to be in the driving seat.

"They have certainly got a physical advantage given that they aren't playing until Monday.

"However Newcastle isn't an easy place to go. But we're just concentrating on our own game."
